Integritas is a class site of the Senior Project Journalism 2011 course in the Communication Arts major at Ramapo College of New Jersey. This course focuses on entrepreneurial journalism and the changing media landscape in the Digital Age. Students adopted a news theme and completed in-depth reporting on the 10th anniversary of 9/11. They covered local angles of this historic story and applied multimedia storytelling.
Students designed the concept for this site during the Fall 2011 semester. They focused on the latest issues, people and trends affecting New Jersey communities during this 10th anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks on the World Trade Center.
Students also studied and experimented with entrepreneurial journalism – approaches to specialized content development for a targeted audience. They researched and presented their niche ideas before a panel of local editors, tested concepts, developed stories and other value-added content for their sites.
